ADVENTURE
At Wilderwood we work hard to give every child the opportunity to come to summer camp. This is because we believe that camp is where kids belong during summer. We see the time kids spend outside at Summer Camp as one of the most essential parts of their developmental growth.
That is why each of our summer camps are specifically designed to meet the needs of children within a particular age group—allowing for a summer full of adventures that are just right for them.
Unlike many other “summer camps” run by schools or other organizations that use camps to keep revenue flowing when the kids are out of the classroom, Wilderwood exists solely to make the best Summer Camp. And the difference shows. At Wilderwood we spend all year planning and organizing the best possible summer camp because we believe it is more than just something to do over the summer. We believe each summer spent at camp represents an irreplaceable step in the developmental journey of every child.

Summer 2026 in here in Chattanooga, TN, and we have a weekly-themed day camp experience designed specifically for children ages 3–5 (must be toilet trained by the first week) ages 6-8, ages 9-12, and ages 13-15. Play-based and activity-driven, our campers will play outdoors, cool off with water play, and enjoy crafts and games, which will help foster a love of the outdoors.
Camp Hours are 9AM - 2PM with Extended Camp drop-off starting as early as 7AM and pick-up as late as 6PM.

Bouncing Jump Week at Wilderwood Camps is pure, high-energy joy—an all-out celebration of movement, laughter, and playful competition. This week is designed to let campers cut loose, burn energy, and experience camp at full throttle, blending classic Wilderwood creativity with larger-than-life inflatable fun.
Throughout the week, the camp transforms into a bounce-powered playground. Campers rotate through a variety of inflatable attractions, obstacle courses, and jump-focused challenges that emphasize movement, agility, and teamwork. Every activity is intentionally structured—not just free play, but games and missions that turn bouncing into a shared experience filled with goals, camaraderie, and friendly rivalry.

Outdoor Survival Week at Wilderwood Camps is a rugged, skills-driven immersion into self-reliance, resilience, and life in the wild. This week is designed to give campers practical outdoor knowledge while challenging them to think critically, work collaboratively, and gain confidence in their ability to thrive beyond modern comforts.
Campers spend the week learning and applying foundational survival skills through hands-on challenges and team-based missions. Activities may include fire-building, shelter construction, navigation basics, water and resource management concepts, and problem-solving scenarios that simulate real outdoor challenges. Every element is intentionally experiential—campers learn by doing, adapting, and improving together.

Art Week at Wilderwood Camps is a creative deep dive where imagination takes the lead and the outdoors becomes the studio. This week is designed to give campers the freedom to explore, experiment, and express themselves through a wide range of artistic mediums—without pressure, perfection, or limits.
Throughout the week, campers engage in hands-on art experiences inspired by nature, storytelling, and personal expression. Projects may include painting, sculpture, mixed media, collaborative installations, and nature-based art, all framed in ways that invite curiosity and play rather than rigid instruction. The focus is on the process, not the product—celebrating creativity as a way of thinking and seeing the world.

Step into a world where time slows down, and the magic of summer never fades. Welcome to Good Ole Summer Days, the camp that feels like a nostalgic trip back to simpler times. Here, we celebrate the timeless traditions that have made summer unforgettable for generations. From campfire sing-alongs to afternoon ice cream socials, each day is filled with activities that will remind you of the good old days. There’s something magical about playing games like capture the flag, baseball, and flag football, it's a place where kids of all ages can experience the joys of summer in its purest form.

Teen Camp at Wilderwood is a bold return to the roots of what Wilderwood was always meant to be—raw, challenging, and transformational. This week is intentionally designed for older campers who are ready for something deeper than themed games and surface-level fun. It is gritty, immersive, and purpose-driven, drawing clear inspiration from the Survivor style of competition and endurance while staying grounded in the heart and values of Wilderwood.
Teen Camp strips away the fluff and invites campers into a high-stakes, team-based experience built around resilience, leadership, and personal growth. Campers are divided into tribes and face a series of physical, mental, and strategic challenges that test their ability to work together, adapt under pressure, and push beyond their comfort zones. Success is never about strength alone—it requires communication, problem-solving, trust, and self-awareness.

Best of the Best Week at Wilderwood Camps is a camper-built celebration—an all-time greatest hits week created entirely by the kids. This theme is announced well ahead of camp, giving campers a voice before they ever arrive. Through voting, idea submissions, and creative input, campers help design the week by choosing their favorite activities, games, and experiences from the past five years in Chattanooga, while also pitching bold new ideas for what comes next.
This is not a preset program. Best of the Best Week is intentionally flexible and responsive, shaped in real time by camper preferences. From high-energy games to creative experiences, adventure challenges to quiet moments, the schedule reflects what campers love most—and what they’re excited to try for the first time. Counselors become facilitators and collaborators, helping bring camper ideas to life.

Art Week: Part One is about opening the door to creativity. This portion of the week focuses on exploration, skill-building, and helping campers feel comfortable expressing ideas without pressure. Campers are introduced to a variety of mediums and techniques—drawing, painting, texture work, and nature-based art—using the outdoors as both inspiration and workspace.
The emphasis is on discovery rather than outcomes. Campers experiment freely, learn how to observe the world around them, and begin developing their own creative voice. Guided prompts and low-stakes projects encourage curiosity, confidence, and willingness to try something new.

Campers may work on multi-day pieces, group installations, themed art challenges, or personal projects that reflect their ideas, experiences, and growth. Reflection and storytelling become more prominent as campers explain their choices, share perspectives, and celebrate one another’s creativity.
